They're a little out of the way so I don't get there very often since they moved out of downtown Athens. Because of that, I had forgotten just how good Peppino's is. Great pizza and huge slices! I recommend.

Went to Peppino's in Winder but they were closed for vacation. Called Peppino's in Athens and drove over 20 miles for one of these great pizzas. They never fail to make the absolute best pizzas ever!!! If you have never tried one, you don't know what you are missing.

My favorite pizza in Athens. Choice of thick or thin crust. Generous with toppings. Great specials: the 2-slice + drink combo will satisfy the heartiest appetites for about $8. Sandwiches are mammoth.

A nice oiled machine I say you have here. They don't miss anything. The Pizza, AMAZING!!! The man that throws those pies does it with Purpose and a lot of Love. I believe his name is Michael. Should stop in and say hi to the pizza guy and try the food and especially some pizza.

It's "good pizza"-- if you've never had actual GOOD pizza. The crust is too bread-like and bulky. Quality of sauce, cheese, other toppings is careless, i.e. "whatever comes off the truck." Selection of toppings is also lacking. Buffalo mozzarella? Nope. FRESH herbs, or ANY herb besides oregano? Nope. The "chefs" working the ovens are more "truck mechanic" than passionate artist. Unfortunately, none of the other pizza joints in Athens do any better.

I grew up south side of Chicago and this is the closest pizza to true Italian Chicago style that I have found so far. It's very good, the employees are customer oriented. They also have good Italian deserts.

We live right down the street from peppinos and are for there at least once a month. It is the perfect place to go with a bunch of friends. The pizza is delicious and the service is quick.

Delicious pizza! The pizza, which is all I have had here, is reasonably priced for the quality. It feels dirty to me when I am in there though, maybe it's how dark and dated it is. They do have a kids area but it is limited with a few old dirty toys and a TV with a love seat.

This is probably the best pizza you'll ever have in Athens. The closest you'll get to New York Pizza! Absolutely delicious highly recommend making the drive out here to have this pizza.

New to Winterville from Winder and low and behold I find the best pizzeria around. Fast, hot, and delicious! And a dessert cooler! With fresh tiramisu! Oh lord it’s the bomb! Michael makes one killer pie. Can’t wait to go back!

Never had a bad experience before at this location not until Feb 7 @ 6:30 ordered two large Pizzas to-go _ a veggie one & Hawaiian kind_ the Veggie was toasty burned at the bottom, and the Hawaiian was extremely salty. Although being a busy Friday we can understand the pressure but staff member must keep an eye at all times tending the right items. However, I will go back (as crave is needed) __ 👍

We ordered thin crust and was a thick crust instead. They offered to bake it more instead of making the correct crust pizza. After baking more it was just as bad. The worst pizza I've ever had. I will NEVER go back there again. The crust wasn't even cooked all the way because it was so thick.

Place is weird: looks like a food court, but also has some really cute booths. Pizza is great and desert is amazing. Huge bonus: children's play area with a TV, some books, and some toys for the kids.

The pizza is pretty good. The crust is thin and crisp. Toppings are fresh. In the middle of the pandemic I was sorely disappointed with their choice to allow the guys making pizza not wear masks. It is a simple thing they could do to keep customers and other staff safe. When I asked the manager her response was "well they took them off"....well fire them.

Decided to give this place a try after being on my radar for a while now. I ordered a sub when I arrived and they got right do work as soon as the order went through. Since I had never eaten there before, I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised! They didn't skimp on any of the toppings and the sandwich was HUGE! I definitely got my money's worth. The restaurant itself was clean and organized, though a bit dark for my liking. I will definitely be going back!
